Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Flooring & Design Consultant to join our team. This role involves guiding clients through the selection and design process for flooring and interior finishes, providing expert advice, and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, a keen eye for design, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand their flooring needs, design preferences, lifestyle requirements and budget.
- Sell and recommend a wide range of interior finishing products, including flooring, paint, window treatments, custom drapery, lighting and home decor.
- Provide design guidance on colours, textures, patterns and materials to complement customers' spaces.
- Prepare accurate selections and quotations.
- Building lasting customer relationships through exceptional service and follow-up.
- Maintain detailed customer records, project documentations and sales activities.
- Stay current with design trends, product innovations with industry best practices.
- Understand the POS system and procedures related to purchases.
- Assist with showroom merchandising, product displays and inventory management.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in interior design, sales or a related field an asset.
- Exceptional sales and closing skills
- Strong eye for interior design and decorating
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management
- Ability to read floor plans and measurements
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle required for on-site consultations and measurements.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
