Job Title: Workshop & Warehouse Coordinator
Job Overview: We are an Industrial Equipment Repair facility that has been in business for over 35 years, and are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Workshop Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our service shop & Warehouse, and providing administrative assistance. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth workflow in the shop, maintain operational efficiency, and contribute to both administrative and hands-on tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily shop operations to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including managing schedules and data entry.
- Assist in managing inventory for both the shop and office supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide exceptional support, and greet walk-in customers.
- Clean and prepare equipment for customer pickups.
- Maintain paperwork procedures, including timely equipment registration and documentation.
- Perform daily cleaning of office and work facilities and spearhead end-of-day cleanup processes.
- Load and unload equipment on customer trucks using a forklift.
- Pick orders, manage receiving/shipping of packages, and notify team members of package arrivals.
- Assist in the repair or setup of equipment as directed by management.
- Harvest usable parts from scrap welding machines and update inventory.
- Support Repair Technicians with various tasks as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management or technicians.
Additional Administrative Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist with data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Manage schedules and appointments for various departments.
- Maintain organized records and provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in an industrial warehouse setting or an administrative/operational role.
- Basic Technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical equipment (experience with welding equipment is a plus).
- Experience with material handling devices (Forklift license preferred).
- Proficiency in documentation, with strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with office and warehouse management procedures.
- Conscientious worker with initiative and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Work safety boots and other PPE as required.
