Founded by educators with over a decade of teaching experience, our students have represented Canada at prestigious national and international competitions.
About the Role
We're looking for a passionate Math Instructor to lead engaging, in-person and/or online classes for students in grades 4–12. You'll break down challenging competition math concepts into clear, accessible lessons while fostering a classroom environment where students feel motivated to grow. Successful candidates will receive training on our curriculum and teaching philosophy before leading classes independently.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person and/or online classes of up to 20 students, spanning grades 4–12
- Prepare for classes using our curriculum and instructional resources
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Clearly explain complex competition math concepts using strong communication and instructional skills
- Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging attitude in all interactions with students and parents
- Adapt teaching style to suit a range of skill levels and learning paces
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding
- Experience in math competitions is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching experience is preferred
- Patience, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility
Compensation
$40–50/hour, based on experience, qualifications, and teaching ability.
Logistics
- Start date: January 2027 or earlier
- Hours: Part-time, 10–20 hours per week.
- Schedule: Evening and weekend availability is required.
- Location: Onsite at our Richmond Hill location or online
