Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard – Pharmaceutical Site in North York, ON.
Title: Security Guard – Pharmaceutical Site, Swing shift
Type: Full Time
Location: North York, ON (close to Dufferin and Steeles)
Pay Rate: $20.58/hour
Shift: Various, Swing Rotation
Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record required
Site Requirement – Vaccination
Due to the high-profile pharmaceutical environment, selected candidates will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

Tetanus
-
Flu
Provincial coverage applies where available. Any additional costs associated with the vaccination process will be covered by Allied Universal.
Overview:
Allied Universal is currently hiring experienced Security Professionals for a high-profile pharmaceutical client in North York, ON.
The ideal candidate is a polished and reliable professional with strong communication skills, the ability to work rotating shifts, and experience in controlled-access or sensitive environments. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in dynamic situations.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor access control systems and CCTV

Conduct regular patrols of the facility (foot and vehicle)

Maintain a strong security presence in a high-profile environment
-
Communicate professionally with site personnel, management, and security teams
-
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and efficient manner
-
Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs
-
Ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent site coverage
-
Perform site inspections to uphold strict security standards
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience
-
1–2 years of experience in a hospital, corporate office, or similar high-security environment
-
Must be 25 years of age or older (company vehicle insurance requirement)
-
Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record required
-
Must be eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada

Valid Ontario Security Guard License
-
Standard First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement provided)

Experience with CCTV monitoring and access control systems

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use

Physically able to perform extended foot patrols (indoor and outdoor)

Ability to operate a vehicle in all weather conditions

Capable of standing/walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 15 kg
