Jacobs is currently looking to hire an Environmental Planning and Impact Assessment Professional with Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment experience to join our dynamic team in a full-time hybrid office-home role based out of one of our Canada offices (Calgary, Edmonton, Burnaby, Victoria, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg).
In this position, you will support the technical delivery, including the impact assessment, of privately-owned infrastructure projects across Canada. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate Environmental Assessment (EA) activities from early planning through submission, regulator review, and approval, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior technical leads, and project managers.
- Provide technical writing support to author key sections for environmental impact assessments and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate biophysical components, socio-economic components and Indigenous knowledge and values into regulatory applications, assessments or reports.
- Conduct baseline socio-economic research and analysis (demographics, housing, employment, land use, services).
- Integrate Indigenous knowledge and community input into socio-economic analyses where appropriate.
