Job Description
As a Ramp Lead, you will be managing baggage and freight, plus operating a variety of equipment. You are a working member of the team and will provide guidance, coaching and assistance to Ramp Agents, so that company standards are met and consistently applied to ensure safety and optimal customer service, as well as on-time performance. Your job duties will also include:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient on-loading and off-loading of cargo and passenger baggage \ Preparing aircraft for arrival and departure;
- Effectively communicate and coordinate crew and operational flight activities with all stakeholders;
- Marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning;
- Driving and operating aircraft-servicing vehicles and equipment;
- Ensure compliance with established corporate uniform and safety equipment standards.
- Direct the workforce, mentor, and provide practical training on work methods and safety practices;
- See that assigned personnel and equipment are properly utilized;
- Complete all reports as required by the Company and /or the airline after departure of the aircraft;
- Carry and operate a radio as required;
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in the aviation industry or in a similar role is preferred.
- Full Class G driver's license, clean Driver's abstract.
- Able to secure an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit ( AVOP).
- Able to secure Transport Canada RAIC.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs independently.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Highly motivated and able to work well independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask and establish priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to work flexible work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
