Sage Clinic is looking for an experienced Medical Office Administrator to join the team! We are seeking a candidate who is self-motivated, organized, and has strong interpersonal skills. Completion of an MOA course is preferred but experience plays a larger role in the candidates we will be considering.
Sage Clinic is a busy multi-disciplinary clinic that specializes in full scope midwifery care with eleven midwives, and also supports a physiotherapist, an osteopath, and a rentable meeting room. We are a close knit group that is looking for someone who enjoys connecting with clients and their families, as well as managing the traditional MOA tasks. We are a mostly paper-free clinic, so strong computer/technology skills are important as this position is often the “tech support” of the office. The EMR platform is Accuro along with Ocean Forms and Medeo for secure client communications.
Compensation starts at $25.00-$30.00 per hour, dependent on experience. This position will begin ASAP until May 30, 2027 with a possibility for ongoing employment for the right candidate. Full time expectation is in-office 30 hours/week (exact days to be determined, 8:30am-5:00pm).
Responsibilities:
- answering client calls and emails.
- scheduling appointments in the Accuro EMR
- managing client records
- ordering medical and office supplies
- organizing office and medical supplies and stocking clinic rooms
- preparing lab samples and swabs
- general clinic organization
- clinic laundry
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and computer software/tools
- Understanding of client confidentiality, PIPPA compliance, and secure record management (will be required to complete yearly cyber-security refresher)
- Knowledge of Accuro EMR, Medeo (for client communication), and Ocean Forms is ideal
- Highly organized, especially in digital environments
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients and staff
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to appropriately triage tasks/requests, even with frequent interruptions
Education:
- High School (Mandatory)
- MOA Certificate/Diploma (preferred)
Experience:
- Medical Office Assistant (1 year minimum), preference for candidates with Accuro experience
- Criminal record check required
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
