L&W Restoration Services is looking for a motivated Handyman’s Helper who is ready to learn a real trade. We don't just want a laborer; we want someone we can train to become a Lead Handyman with their own company truck within 12–18 months.
What You Will Be Learning & Doing: You’ll work directly alongside a Lead Handyman on residential and light commercial projects. This is a hands-on mentorship role covering:
- Carpentry: Trim, framing repairs, and door installs.
- Drywall & Paint: Patching, mudding, and full-room painting.
- Tiling & Flooring: Backsplashes, laminate, and LVP.
- Plumbing & Electrical: Replacing toilets, sinks, faucets, and light fixtures.
- Emergency Work: Site board-ups and urgent restoration repairs.
- Business Growth: We will even introduce you to the marketing and advertising side of the business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 1+ year(s) of basic construction or reno experience. You must be comfortable and safe with power tools.
- Location: We are only accepting applicants currently living in Abbotsford, Langley, or Aldergrove.
- Transportation: Valid BC Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle are required to get to various sites.
- Mindset: You are hungry to learn and always asking "what's next?"
- Reliability: You show up on time, every time.
- Tools: You own steel-toed boots, a tape measure, a hammer, and a utility knife. (We provide the heavy power tools).
