Shift Schedules: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

About the Position
Kear Fabrication is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and mechanically inclined individual to join our manufacturing team.
This is primarily a general labour and production position. The successful candidate will assist with material preparation, equipment assembly, shop organization, packaging, and other production duties based on the needs of the company.
Candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn may receive additional training in the assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of pneumatic- and hydraulic-powered equipment.
This position is a good fit for someone who is comfortable performing regular general labour duties but is also interested in developing technical and mechanical skills over time.
Advancement into a more technical role will depend on performance, aptitude, reliability, and the needs of the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labour and manufacturing duties as assigned
- Assist with the assembly of racks, tables, conveyors, and industrial equipment
- Prepare, move, organize, and clean materials and components
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Operate drills, grinders, saws, staple guns, nail guns, and other shop equipment
- Measure and mark materials accurately using a measuring tape
- Assist with drilling, fastening, sanding, grinding, and basic mechanical assembly
- Help install components such as casters, rollers, bearings, cylinders, valves, hoses, and fittings
- Assist experienced employees with equipment assembly, testing, and adjustments
- Package and prepare completed equipment for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist in other areas of production as required
Requirements
- Hardworking, reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Willing to perform both general labour and mechanical assembly duties
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
- Able to follow verbal instructions and basic drawings
- Able to measure accurately using a measuring tape
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, temperature changes, and occasional moisture
- Able to stand and remain active for most of the workday
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs when required
- Good manual dexterity and ability to bend, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
- Must have or be willing to obtain CSA-approved safety shoes
Preferred Experience
Previous manufacturing experience is considered an asset but is not required.
