Job Summary
The Scholars personalized tutoring franchise (Scholarsed.com) in Kanata Lakes is seeking passionate and enthusiastic part-time Teachers/Tutors for High School Physics and Math (Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors). As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering “results that matter” to all of our students, and our teachers play a key role in this journey. The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars’ teaching methodology. Responsibilities
- Provide small group (maximum of 3 students) tutoring sessions in designated subjects.
- Monitor students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor lessons effectively.
- Using provided materials to support individual learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and motivation.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a classroom setting, or working with children in the same capacity.
- University student or recent graduate in a science or math field (BSc, MSc, etc.) or in progress.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts.
- Experience working with HS students, demonstrating patience and understanding of their needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on the diverse learning styles of students.
