Position Overview
We are actively looking to hire an experienced Controller!
This role is designed for a hands-on accounting professional who is ready to take ownership of the accounting function and work closely with operations and executive leadership.
This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for including, but not limited to the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity
- Maintain and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
- Lead operational accounting, cost controls and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare internal financial statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Support external audits, reviews, and year-end filings
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Act as on-site finance lead and primary point of contact for accounting matters
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction
- CPA designation completed or in progress at the advanced stage is required
- Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
