Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and other materials across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Candidates must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Candidates must have proven experience of 2 years plus.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight and materials to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating freight trucks and hoppers
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics preferred
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
