Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations as applied to various locations throughout the sites.
- Knowledge and understanding of post orders to assume full responsibility for the area assigned.
- Knowledge and understanding of site emergency procedures manual and the security guards procedure manuals.
- Security Guard duties assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Able to pass the criminal record check.
- Emergency First Aid Level C and CPR certificate.
- Reliable method of transportation.
- Experience would be preferred; however onsite training will be available.
- Able to maintain log sheets and write down all incident reports.
- Two-year security experience.
- Must be fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing. Multilingual would be an asset.
- A successful candidate must be having a professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work between 5 and 12-hour shifts.
- Handcuff & Baton certification Preferred
- Excellent health and physical condition (Be prepared to pass a physical exam).
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Security & Customer Service experience is a definite asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods at times.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and multi task is required.
- Ability to effectively generate all relevant shift reports and distribute effectively in a timely manner
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
