Volunteer Opportunity: Support Children with Special Needs – Summer 2026
Position: Summer Program Volunteer
Location: Edmonton
Dates: July-August 2026
Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference this summer? We are seeking caring, responsible, and enthusiastic volunteers to support children with special needs during our Summer Program in July 2026.
About the Role:
Volunteers will assist with daily activities, recreation, social engagement, and providing encouragement and support to children in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting children during summer activities, games, and outings
- Encouraging social interaction and participation
- Assisting staff with daily program activities
- Helping create a positive and welcoming environment
- Providing companionship and support to children with diverse needs
Requirements:
- Compassionate and patient attitude
- Interest in working with children and youth with special needs
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Able to work as part of a team
- Previous experience is an asset but not required
