As Cafe Manager, you play a key role in breathing life to our values and delivering a seamless hospitality experience to our members. You are responsible for the success of your department by leading a highly motivated team, maximizing sales, and spending smart.
Duties
- Supervise daily café operations, including food preparation, smoothie preparation, and serving to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and professional team
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Lead team meetings, conduct interviews for new hires, and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong team
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborate to develop menu offerings that meet customer preferences and industry trends
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality roles, preferably within cafe environments that serve food
- Strong background in food preparation, beverage preparation, and food safety standards
- Previous supervising or team management experience in a restaurant or café setting
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to interview candidates effectively and make sound hiring decisions
- Experience in food service environments including serving, barista experience, or restaurant experience is a must
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- An interest and passion in health and wellness is highly desirable
