Ottawa Valley Tree Experts is looking to hire Ground Workers. Our company has been operating for over 30 years and offers a full line of tree care services. We take safety seriously and expect all workers to demonstrate high safety standards. All of our employees are covered by WSIB. A ground worker assists the arborist/climber and other crew members in all aspects of tree care and removal. This includes keeping the job site safe and organized, manning rigging and tag lines, chip brush, cut wood and clean-up of job site, along with other tasks.
The ideal candidates will have:
- Be in good physical health and able to lift heavy objects often over an 8 to 10 hour shift
- Experience with chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders & other tree service equipment
- Be organized, excellent oral communication & clear written correspondence
- Have a good work ethic, team player & practical interpersonal skills
- Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract
- Own vehicle
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
