Overview
The Friends is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time ILA/PSW (Independent Living Assistant/Personal Support Worker) to join our team in the Bracebridge/Gravenhurst area. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to individuals with varying needs, including those with disabilities, seniors, and clients requiring specialized assistance. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized support and care.
Duties
- Provide compassionate caregiving services to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor.
- Foster a positive relationship with clients and their families, ensuring open communication regarding care plans.
Skills
- Strong understanding of working with persons with disabilities and providing patient-centered care.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A caring demeanor with a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of others.
- must have a reliable vehicle & valid drivers license, travel is required.
- willing and confident to drive in the Muskoka area.
