We are hiring an experienced barista/kitchen worker for our Seymour St location. We have a full time position available. For the full time position it will be a mix of day shifts and evening shifts including weekends. Day shifts can start as early as 6:30am. Weekends are our busiest days which mean you will work most weekends.

Job description
For this position you need to have previous experience in a coffee and food service business. We offer on the job training by our senior staff members in all aspects of our kitchen i.e. baking waffles, preparing waffle based brunch and dessert dishes, preparing espresso based drinks, prep work, cleaning and other tasks.
You will be trained on coffee first. We are looking for someone who loves the craft of coffee and enjoys pushing themselves to learn new skills, including waffle baking.
General responsibilities and duties
- Preparing drinks, mostly coffees but also other drinks.
- Baking waffles
- Preparing waffle based brunch and dessert dishes
- Prep work
- Welcoming and helping take out customers
- Accepting deliveries
- Cleaning & maintenance
You can work well independently and can also take direction for supervisors and other team members. You are a great team player who like interacting with people, both co-workers and customers.
Requirements
You have at least one year experience in a coffee or food related business.
Coffee terms like dialing in, extraction, grind size, crema,...are all familiar to you.
You possess your Food Safe Level 1 certification or will obtain this during the first 3 months of employment.
You have a Serving it Right certificate as we serve alcoholic beverages (can be obtained upon hiring)
You are eligible to work in Canada, either on a work permit, as a permanent resident or you are a Citizen of Canada. When you have a work permit, we require that there is at least 1 year left on your visa.
