Overview
We are seeking a skilled Millwright with UG Common Core certification to join our Raise Bore Drilling team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the mining/drilling industry in industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems, and be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Responsibilities
- Install, align, dismantle, and repair industrial machinery and equipment according to schematics and technical manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using CMMS systems to schedule and document work
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and low-voltage systems utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics
- Repair or replace defective components including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct welding (including <LOCATION> welding), fabrication, and assembly tasks as needed for equipment maintenance or installation
- Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas
- Test electrical circuits and troubleshoot high voltage systems with appropriate safety procedures
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and assist in inventory management of parts and tools
- Collaborate with technical sales teams when providing field service or customer support related to machinery repairs or upgrades
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or millwright within a manufacturing facility environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, CMMS software, and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical diagrams accurately
- Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including high voltage safety protocols and low voltage troubleshooting
- Background in welding, fabrication, or related trades preferred
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or clients
- NORCAT Underground Common Core REQUIRED
