Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lodge Chef to support culinary operations at our lodge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a hospitality setting. As Lodge Chef, you will ensure food safety standards are met, and create menus that delight our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with lodge standards and guest preferences
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Ensure adherence to all food safety regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate serving times and guest service
- Lead by example in hospitality, demonstrating professionalism and leadership in all interactions
Skills
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Excellent team leadership abilities
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and regulations (Food Safety)
- Ability to develop creative menus that appeal to diverse tastes
- Exceptional skills in food industry practices, including kitchen experience and hospitality services
- Demonstrated ability to oversee food safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
