Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver freight efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various equipment and freight types. Duties
- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment for the transportation of freight across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
- Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle readiness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and compliance with transportation regulations
- Assist with warehouse operations including loading, unloading, and organizing freight
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or automotive repair skills is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in transportation
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and repair tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
