We are seeking a skilled Automotive Polisher responsible for final-stage paint refinement, with a strong focus on unmatched quality. This role plays a critical part in final quality control and team communication, ensuring vehicles meet delivery standards while minimizing rework.
- Perform machine polishing, buffing, and finishing on repaired vehicles to OEM and internal quality standards
- Identify and correct warranty polishing issues (e.g., swirl marks, holograms, burn-through risks, dust nibs)
- Conduct thorough final inspections of paintwork prior to delivery, ensuring readiness for customer handoff
- Communicate clearly with painters, estimators, and production team regarding defects, rework needs, and quality concerns
- Proactively flag issues early to reduce downstream delays and improve overall shop efficiency
- Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with shop standards
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of polishing tools, compounds, and materials
- 2+ years experience in automotive polishing or paint finishing (collision environment preferred)
- Strong understanding of paint systems, clear coat behavior, and defect correction
- Proven ability to manage warranty polishing work with precision and consistency
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production team
- Experience with rotary and DA polishers
