Located in MacEwan Hall at the University of Calgary, UMI Sushi Express is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated team members to join our growing team.
Whether you have restaurant experience or are just starting your career, paid training is provided. We believe in developing our people through hands-on training, structured cross-training, and performance-based growth.
Enjoy a regular Monday–Friday schedule, 30–40 hours per week, no weekend shifts, and most public holidays off—offering a healthy work-life balance that’s hard to find in the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Prepare food, beverages, and takeout orders
- Pack customer and delivery orders accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Learn multiple stations through structured cross-training
- Assist with opening and closing duties as training progresses
- Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
