Automotive Lube Technician / Tire Technician
(Experience Required)
Location: 324 41 Ave NE, Calgary, AB
Pay: $20–$25/hr (based on experience and productivity)

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Automotive Lube Technician who takes pride in doing the fundamentals exceptionally well.
This is not just an oil change position. We are looking for someone who understands that every vehicle leaving our shop represents our reputation.
The ideal candidate works efficiently without sacrificing quality, pays attention to detail, follows procedures, and enjoys working in a fast-paced automotive environment.
This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within the automotive industry and eventually advance into an Apprentice or Automotive Technician role.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance
- Perform engine oil and filter changes
- Perform tire rotations
- Mount and balance tires
- Repair tire punctures
- Check and adjust tire pressures
- Top up vehicle fluids
- Replace air filters and cabin filters
- Replace wiper blades
- Reset maintenance reminders
Vehicle Inspections
Every vehicle should receive a careful visual inspection.
Identify worn or damaged components, including:
- Tires
- Brakes
- Suspension
- Steering components
- Fluid leaks
- Battery condition
- Belts and hoses
- Lights
- Fluid condition
Accurately document findings so service advisors can recommend repairs when appropriate.
Workflow & Quality Control
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds before beginning work to document pre-existing damage
- Follow repair orders carefully
- Torque all wheels to specification and document completion
- Verify fluid levels before releasing every vehicle
- Ensure drain plugs and filters are installed correctly
- Keep accurate records of fluids and materials used
- Double-check all completed work before vehicle delivery

Shop Standards & Procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep shop equipment clean and properly maintained
- Follow shop safety procedures
- Assist technicians when required
- Help maintain shop cleanliness throughout the day
- Complete assigned shop tasks when workflow slows

Ideal Candidate
- Previous automotive shop experience
- Experience performing oil changes and tire services
- Basic automotive knowledge
- Valid driver's licence
- Comfortable driving customer vehicles
- Able to work independently after training
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
