The Project Coordinator, reporting to the Simulated Education Faculty Lead and the Simulation/Lab Coordinator, will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects and initiatives within the Simulated Education Unit.
The incumbent plays a key role in ensuring the effective execution of simulation-based education activities by developing workflows and operational processes and maintaining alignment across academic and technical areas.
Responsibilities include coordinating project activities across all phases, assisting with process and workflow mapping, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and manuals, preparing reports, and supporting other simulation-related initiatives as assigned. In this role, the incumbent will also engage and communicate with faculty, staff, students, and clinical partners to support the success and completion of all assigned projects and initiatives.
The Project Coordinator will monitor timelines, tracks progress, prepare and present reports and updates, and ensures all deliverables are completed in a timely and organized manner.
Note: This is a fully in-person, on-site position.
Qualifications
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences or a related field required
- Diploma in Administration (Medical or related) considered an asset
Experience:
- minimum of 1 year work experience in a project coordination role within a university setting;
- minimum of 1 year work experience in a clinical simulation-based education unit within a university setting;
- professional work experience in providing technical and administration assistance in support of education activities within clinical simulation and laboratory practice within a university environment preferred;
- professional work experience in project management, status tracking, and reporting in health- and academic environments preferred

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to track milestones, monitor progress, and support timely delivery of outcomes
- Familiarity with University academic environments, specifically in simulation- and clinical laboratory practice setting
- Understanding of simulation-based education and/or clinical skills training environments and workflow
- Experience contributing to workflow development or operational documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
- Ability to facilitate coordination across diverse stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, Calendar, Forms)
- Experience with teleconferencing and virtual collaboration tools considered an asset
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., OWL/Brightspace) considered an asset
- Results-oriented with the ability to meet rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- High level of professionalism when interacting with members of the academic and clinical community
