The Restaurant Server provides welcoming, efficient, and safe dining experiences to guests by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Servers are responsible for ensuring food safety standards are upheld and that guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable visit.
Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival.
Present menus, describe menu items, and offer recommendations when requested.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar.
Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy, presentation, and temperature control.
Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional needs.
Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and properly following health and safety guidelines.
Uphold all food safety standards, including safe handling of dishes, utensils, and beverages.
Practice proper hand hygiene, and follow all cleaning and sanitation protocols in dining areas and service stations.
Ensure that spills are cleaned up immediately to prevent accidents.
Monitor food allergies and special dietary needs, and communicate them accurately to kitchen staff.
Process guest payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate to management as needed.
Complete opening and closing side duties, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and setting up or breaking down service areas.
