We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Solutions Engineer to join our growing automation team. This role bridges engineering, inside sales, and customer support by helping develop technical solutions, prepare quotations, and support customers throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
- Support inside sales activities by working directly with customers, vendors, and the engineering team
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and RFQs to develop automation solutions
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and cost estimates for automation systems and components
- Assist with product selection, system configuration, and application recommendations
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information
- Follow up on quotations and support the sales cycle from inquiry through order placement
- Maintain CRM and quotation records with accurate customer and project information
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project handoff
- Identify opportunities to improve quotation processes, documentation, and customer response times
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to company growth
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field
- Experience in industrial automation, controls, electrical systems, or technical sales preferred
- Strong understanding of automation components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motion control, or industrial networking
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and schematics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a customer-focused attitude
