Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator-Tractor (local) to join our team. This role involves operating a tractor within local routes, managing warehouse logistics, and ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and experience in commercial driving.This position offers an excellent opportunity for independent operators with a focus on safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor trailers within local routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine inspections of the tractor to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Follow all company policies regarding safety procedures and operational protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with local route operations
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during pickups and deliveries
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and dispatchers
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required; clean driving record preferred
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
