Overview
In this energetic role, you’ll perform a variety of manual tasks that keep projects moving forward efficiently and safely. Your hands-on contributions will support the team in building, repairing, and maintaining chimney and fireplace infrastructure, ensuring quality results every step of the way. Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, and organizing supplies
- Support skilled tradespeople by carrying tools, equipment, and materials to designated areas
- Perform general cleanup duties to maintain a safe and tidy worksite
- Help with basic construction tasks under supervision
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for all team members
- Operate basic equipment such as wheelbarrows, hand trucks, or small power tools as trained
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the project by completing assigned tasks promptly and accurately
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
- Prior experience in construction, roofing or manual labour is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) preferred
- must have a valid drivers licence.
