Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all carpentry work meets high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Meet the clients on Day 1 to discuss their renovation and develop a renovation schedule
- Perform various carpentry tasks including demo, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, trim etc.
- Coordinate with office and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure that the renovation meets building code requirements and passes all inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the renovation process
- Handle heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in interior renovations
- Experience with Schluter products, drywall, mudding, painting and carpentry
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow plans
- Excellent communication skills (English) with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Valid driver's license and transportation
- Must have own tools
- Must be punctual for scheduled shifts
