Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining smooth operations.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold hygiene standards and safety regulations.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with health guidelines.
- Support the serving team by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during busy service times.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food service and kitchen sanitation to create a safe environment for staff and guests.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety practices and equipment operation.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with food preparation or cooking is advantageous but not mandatory.
