Summary
We are seeking an Application Administrator / OpenShift Admin to support application operations, container platform administration, and certificate lifecycle management. The role will focus on day-to-day application support, OpenShift administration, and flexible certificate issuance and automation tasks in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and monitoring of business applications in production and non-production environments.
- Assist with OpenShift cluster operations, including deployment support, troubleshooting, and basic workload configuration.
- Manage certificate requests, issuance, renewal, and replacement for applications and services.
- Automate certificate-related tasks using scripts, tools, or standard workflow automation.
- Work with application, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve operational issues.
- Monitor application health, logs, and alerts, and escalate incidents when needed.
- Support deployment activities, change windows, and release validations.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in application administration, platform support, or OpenShift administration.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Experience with certificate management, including issuance, renewal, and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to certificate automation using scripts or tools.
- Basic understanding of Linux, shell scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with production support teams and incident management processes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment support.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to Ansible, Jenkins, or basic automation frameworks.
- Understanding of SSL/TLS, PKI, keystores, and trust stores.
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting Java-based applications.
- Exposure to certificate lifecycle workflows in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with change management and on-call support.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
