Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator to work directly alongside the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction.
This role offers hands-on involvement in every stage of a project, including procurement, project planning, contract administration, consultant coordination, material procurement, scheduling, and project closeout. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a diverse range of construction projects while developing a comprehensive understanding of construction project management.
Working directly with the Project Manager, you will receive ongoing mentorship, practical experience, and increasing responsibility as your knowledge and skills develop. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction and grow alongside a company that values initiative, accountability, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and track submittals.
- Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Coordinate procurement and material orders.
- Request and compare supplier quotations.
- Prepare Purchase Orders.
- Track material deliveries and lead times.
- Maintain procurement, submittal, and RFI logs.
- Review construction drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinate shop drawings and consultant reviews.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
- Maintain organized project documentation and filing systems.
- Assist in monitoring project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Support project planning and execution.
- Perform other project-related duties as required.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working for a General Contractor in Ontario.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
Preferred
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience preparing and tracking RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, procurement logs, and material orders.
- Working knowledge of Ontario construction practices, documentation, and contract administration.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Salary
$50,000–$60,000 annually
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
