About the Role
Sr. Accountant for a growing industrial services group based in Spruce Grove, with operations across multiple Canadian locations. This is a hands-on, transactional finance role focused on the day-to-day accounting execution across multiple operating entities — month-end close, reconciliations, AP and AR, payroll, and government filings.
What You'll Do
· Process AP, vendor payments, AR, and collections across the group
· Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and recurring entries for monthly close
· Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
· Run payroll and administer group benefits, union dues, RRSP submissions, T4s, ROEs, and WCB filings
· Maintain the general ledger across multiple operating entities
· Prepare and file HST/GST returns, source deductions, and other government filings
· Maintain job cost data, project cost commitments, and supporting workpapers
· Process inventory entries and recurring intercompany activity
· Support the year-end Review engagement with external accountants
· Maintain accuracy of accounting systems and support integration with other business platforms (QuickBooks and Salesforce)
What We're Looking For
· Formal accounting education
· 4–7 years of full-cycle accounting experience
· Experience working across multiple operating entities
· Hands-on experience with project or job-cost accounting (industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or similar)
· Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable mid-market accounting software; Salesforce experience is an asset
· Strong Excel skills
· Direct experience processing payroll and administering benefits
· High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the discipline to manage recurring deadlines
Compensation: range based on experience and qualification. Competitive benefits packageis offered
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
