Overview:
Basepoint Real Estate Group is seeking a sales-driven Leasing / Property Management Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced real estate professional who is actively working in leasing or property management and is looking to expand their portfolio and income.
This position is structured as an independent contractor role, with TWO compensation streams:
Stream A: Leasing Work (Guaranteed Income)
- Guaranteed 20–25 hours per week of leasing-related work
- Opportunity to grow into full-time or increased hours based on performance
- Compensation includes:
- Hourly rate ($22–$25/hour based on experience)
- Discretionary bonus based on leasing performance
Availability Requirements:
- Must be available for assigned shifts
- Weekend availability is required (commit one weekend day Saturday or Sunday, or both)
- Evening/after-hours availability required (e.g., weekday afternoons/evenings, not every day)
Stream B: Property Management – Commission Split (Optional) If you are a licensed property manager with an existing portfolio:
- You may transfer and manage your portfolio under our brokerage
- Commission split to be discussed based on portfolio size and structure
- We provide:
- Full administrative and accounting support
- Ongoing professional training
- Potential referrals to grow your portfolio
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has an existing residential property management portfolio and wants to grow it
- Wants to increase leasing income quickly
- Is open to building toward a full-time role or larger portfolio
Compensation Structure
- $22–$25/hour for leasing work (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus on leasing
- Commission split for property management portfolio (if applicable)
Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Sales
- Respond to rental inquiries (email, phone, and online platforms)
- Conduct property showings and convert leads into tenants
- Negotiate rental terms within company guidelines
- Manage applications and coordinate tenant screening
- Coordinate move-ins and tenant onboarding (if required)
Property Management Support
- Assist with tenant communication and coordination
- Support maintenance requests and vendor coordination
- Work with the internal team on property operations
Portfolio Growth (Optional but Preferred)
- Bring and manage your own portfolio (if applicable)
- Maintain and grow landlord relationships
- Support business development initiatives
Requirements
- Licensed with BCFSA (preferred) or:
- Willing to obtain a rental property management license within 12 months, or
- Eligible to transfer an existing license
- Experience in leasing, real estate, or property management
- Strong sales and closing ability
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar systems is an asset

- Has leasing or property management experience and understands the rental market
- Is sales-oriented, not purely administrative
- May already manage units or clients and wants to scale
- Seeks flexibility and income growth, not just a fixed salary

NotesThis is a contractor-based position. Candidates will operate independently under the brokerage and be compensated through a combination of hourly leasing work and commission-based earnings.
Pay: $25,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
