Concrete Foreman

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead our concrete crews across a mix of custom residential and commercial projects. You'll be the person on-site who makes sure forms are square, pours are on schedule, and the crew has what they need to do the job right the first time. This is a hands-on leadership role, you'll be working alongside your crew as an active tradesperson while also planning, delegating, and owning the quality and safety of every pour.

Core Responsibilities
- Plan, layout, and supervise all concrete operations, including formwork, reinforcing steel placement, pours, and finishing
- Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and civil/site plans to ensure accurate layout and grades
- Lead, schedule, and mentor a crew of concrete labourers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress daily
- Work alongside the crew as an active, productive tradesperson, setting the standard for craftsmanship and pace
- Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Managers on scheduling, material deliveries, and subtrade sequencing
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, building codes, and Absolute's quality standards
- Champion jobsite safety, including toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and enforcement of site safety policies
- Maintain accurate daily records: crew hours, quantities poured, weather conditions, and site progress
- Order and manage materials and equipment needed for concrete work, minimizing waste and downtime
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and adjust plans in real time to keep projects on schedule

What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of concrete forming and finishing experience, including 2+ years in a foreman or lead hand capacity
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems, concrete mix design basics, rebar placement, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and site/grading plans
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a crew, with clear, respectful communication
- Solid understanding of jobsite safety practices and WorkSafeBC requirements
- Valid driver's license; own reliable transportation to jobsites
- Must be able to work and live in the Revelstoke, BC area
Preferred
- Red Seal certification (Concrete) or equivalent trade experiencemanage multiple priorities efficiently.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
