Highway 43 Towing is looking for a tow truck operator to join our team based out of Whitecourt.
This is a hands-on role with a mix of roadside calls and towing. You’ll be responding to boosts, lockouts, tire changes, and general towing throughout the area. No two days are the same, and there’s always a good mix of work. The role also includes recoveries and winch work when needed.
On-call work is part of the position, with scheduled days off.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence with air brakes
- Will consider Class 5 with relevant commercial driving experience
- Must be reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including lifting and manual tasks as required
- Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check
- Mechanically inclined is an asset
- Must currently reside in Canada and be legally able to work
Compensation:
- Commission-based pay on completed calls
- Hourly rate for non-commissionable work (yard duties, parts runs, etc.)

Highway 43 Towing operates out of both Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe. We also run a heavy-duty mechanical, automotive, welding, and tire shop in Mayerthorpe, allowing us to maintain our own equipment in-house.

Pay: $40,378.31-$98,023.66 per year
