POSITION: PRODUCTION/SANITATION SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Shift assignment and schedule
- Primary Shift: 2nd shift
- Shift Hours: 4:00 pm – 2:00 am, 40-60 hours per week
- Typical schedule: Monday – Thursday
- Additional requirements: Occasional Friday and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work or temporarily cover 1st or 3rd shifts as operational requirements dictate. Must be willing to adjust schedule as required to attend meetings, training sessions, or other company-related activities

Candidate Profile:
- The Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager.
- The Shift Supervisor will be an accomplished leader with experience in a manufacturing and operations environment, with an optimal combination of the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in food science, Operations Management or equivalent professional training in management and production.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of plant or manufacturing experience where responsibilities include overseeing all or at least the production, sanitation, and material receiving aspects of plant operations.
- Experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
- Experience working in unionized manufacturing environments.
- Superior leadership skills.
- Able to motivate people and convey the Old Dutch mission and vision to others to fully capitalize on the contribution of employees in the achievement of company objectives.
- Excellent coaching and mentorship skills.
- Must have good decision-making and leadership skills.
- Ability to take responsibility with little or no direction.
- Has a team-focused management style with a proven track record of successfully developing employees.
- Approachable, with an open-door management style.
- Possesses excellent listening skills.
- Understands employee concerns and welcomes their input.
- Working knowledge of the principles of HACCP, Food Safety & Quality systems, and workplace health and safety.

- Has a very solid knowledge of process but is innovative.
- Eager to accept new challenges and leadership roles to establish new approaches to operation of the plant.
- Exposure to inventory control, production, operation and maintenance of processing equipment, scheduling, quality control, and manufacturing techniques and practices.
- Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills.
- Has demonstrated an ability to handle difficult production scheduling problems.
- Technically oriented with a good mechanical background and has worked closely with maintenance groups to reduce downtime.
- Has worked with and used JD Edwards or similar ERP programs.
