Job Overview
Oxford Construction is a General Contractor specializing in Renovations and Maintenance for Commercial and Residential clients in the Metropolitan Vancouver area.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Commercial Renovations to lead and oversee renovation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction knowledge and excellent organizational skills. This role offers an opportunity to manage multiple projects, coordinate teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality renovations that meet client specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Review project plans, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate project quoting and execution.
- Job site walk-throughs, quoting and follow up with clients
- Planning, execution, and closing of commercial renovation projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and met.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, inspections, and meetings; adjust plans as necessary to address issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and milestones for stakeholders.
- Oversee change orders, document control, and project documentation.
- Lead a team of construction professionals by providing guidance on schematics interpretation and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in construction management with a focus on commercial renovations or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience in construction estimating and cost control methodologies.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project teams and coordinate with various stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes relevant to commercial renovation projects.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and problem-solving abilities.
- Good Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Google Docs
