Our Double Hung department has lots of opportunity to grow, learn and take on new challenges. Double Hung is complex as it utilizes many different parts to make up their product line. We focus on teamwork, cross training, and continuous improvements while still making sure that safety, quality, and on time are prioritized.
The Material Handler position in Double Hung is an active and communicative role, where you work with department leadership to run an effective and efficient department. If you are a motivated, and efficient team member, with a strong focus on quality and safety, we encourage you to apply! This is a full-time, permanent, position on the day shift.
Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
Duties:
- Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
- Act as a key person in the designated work area
- Ensure materials are available for use
- Ensure leadership is aware of all situations regarding safety, quality, personnel, product and materials
- Able to problem solve issues online as they arise.
Requirements:
- Spend 90% of the workday on the floor
- Flex between multiple jobs throughout shift
- Work independently (self-motivated)
- Good organizational skills
- Work as part of a team to empower and motivate team members
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Able to safely lift 25 - 50 lbs repetitively
- Passion for continuous improvement
Assets:
- Experience working with table, chop and radial arm saw
- Knowledge of department processes
- Understanding of On-Time
- Knowledge of Viz board and Dashboard
