Job Summary
As a key member of our Snow School leadership team, you are responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Snow School, overseeing instructors, assisting with scheduling, guest services, and ensuring our lesson standards align with CSIA and CASI guidelines. You help create a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment for guests of all ages and skill levels. You are a front-line leader—coaching your team, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service to create an inclusive experience, united by adventure and empowered by community. Cross training and working within other departments is required to support business needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Snow School operations and instructor management
- Assist with scheduling instructors and managing lesson bookings
- Ensure smooth lesson check-ins and on-time lesson starts
- Provide training, feedback, and on-hill support to instructors
- Maintain high teaching standards in line with CSIA/CASI and resort expectations
- Deliver lessons when needed, and step in during peak times
- Support supervisor and management team in responding to guest feedback and resolving issues
- Monitor staff appearance, professionalism, and guest interactions
- Help organize daily meetings and training opportunities
- Assist with snow maintenance tasks such as raking, shoveling, and lift area upkeep
- Follow all resort safety procedures and policies
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum certification: CSIA and/or CASI Level 2 or higher preferred
- Supervisory or team lead experience an asset
- Strong knowledge of ski/snowboard instruction techniques and standards
- Able to work outdoors in a mountain environment for long periods
- Physically capable of assisting guests and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Clear communication and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Weekend, holiday, and peak period availability required
- Must be willing to perform alternate functions across departments when needed
- All SMR staff are expected to assist with snow removal and cross-departmental support as needed
