Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive and during their stay
- Check guests in and out of the hotel
- Ask for identification and ensure that the provided credentials are accurate
- Operate hotel switchboard, take calls and provide information, and transfer calls
- Provide guests with room keys
- Take reservations over the telephone, through emails, and in person
- Answer questions regarding the hotel’s services, charges, and travel directions
- Provide guests with directions around the hotel
- Balance the end of the shift
- Tidy Lobby plus other side duties
- Run night audit and balance all reports
- Prepare housekeeping reports for the following day
- Prepare and set up breakfast items in Breakfast Room
- Able to work alone and handle guest complaints or issues
QUALIFICATIONS and Experience:
- Warm and caring personality; previous customer service experience is an asset
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
- Eligible to work in Canada
- MUST be Bondable
- This position is Full-time 40 hr/week. 11 pm - 7 am shifts including holidays and weekends.
- If requested, must be able to supply a background check.
