Job Description
R. D. Steele Construction is seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, institutional, insurance restoration, and residential work throughout Eastern Ontario.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and wants to build a long-term career in the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople and site supervisors with daily construction activities
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after construction activities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with demolition, framing, general carpentry, and site preparation
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Perform other labour duties as assigned to support project completion
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience is considered an asset but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and performing manual labour
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset
