Job Summary
Responsible for supervising the operations of the garage to ensure required standards of safety and quality of trucks and trailers are met, while working alongside the team.
Job Duties
- Maintain a preventative maintenance system for power units and trailers.
- Ensure health and safety in the shop.
- Supervise staff, delegate and schedule work projects and assignments to staff, and work directly with them to solve and direct repairs to required safety and quality standards.
- Order supplies and parts, maintain vendor relations, and source and maintain alternative suppliers, including obtaining pricing consistent with business objectives.
- Coordinate repairs with dispatch requirements.
- Develop and implement plan to ensure upkeep of company assets, maintain records for expenditures to facilitate proper asset management.
- Fulfil responsibilities according to company principles, including safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- 310 T certification.
- Demonstrated superior truck and trailer mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and other regulatory body requirements.
- 5 years experience in maintenance of trucks and trailers.
- Professional and courteous attitude in all working relationships.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions
- Truck repair shop environment, with some office exposure.
Pay: $95,000.00-$104,000.00 per year
