Position Summary:
The Shipping/Receiving Manager manages A-N-D’s global logistics for North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Oceania. They are also responsible for leading and supporting the day-to-day functions of the shipping team at A-N-D’s main office and warehouse at 1951 Franklin Street, Vancouver BC.
This position supervises the shipping processes to ensure that all orders are shipped out accurately and on time to our customers.
This role includes receiving incoming shipments, managing schedules, managing relationships with external freight companies, requesting quotes, warehousing, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prioritizing and supervising all Canadian and International order fulfillment (pack & ship) utilizing Fed Ex, DHL, 3PL warehouses, and local couriers.
- Manage outbound shipment by LTL, and air freight.
- Working and communicating closely with Sales Coordinators to make sure shipments are accurately shipped to produce timely delivery.
- Updates all shipping information (tracking numbers and date shipped) in Warehouse Management Systems.
- Produce and include relevant shipping paperwork (waybill, BOLs, packing slips, commercial invoice, etc.) for all outbound shipments.
- Prepare commercial invoice and label materials to prepare for shipping to vendors.
- Coordinates delivery processes and procedures to ensure consistent timely pick up.
- Maintain familiarity with customs requirements, shipping declarations, and packaging specifications.
- Handle insurance claims for lost and damaged shipments.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products.
- Stack, wrap, and strap pallets.
- Delivers orders off-site when required.
- Examines and counts shipment contents and compares with records, including, Purchase Orders, invoices, and packing slips, to verify accuracy of shipments.
- Reports and documents any damage or discrepancies.
- Records the receipt of all inbound materials in Warehouse Management Systems.
- Labels inbound materials by SOS naming systems.
- Load and unload freight deliveries
- Managing, maintaining shared inventory and updating the inventory systems.
- Performing general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using the forklift.
- Maintaining safe working conditions and keeping the warehouse and related areas clean and free of debris.
This role has the following physical demands:
- Able to lift and move heavy boxes up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet/able to bend, kneel, and move as required.
Role Additional Information:
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience
- Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Certificate
- Proficient skills with organizing and planning.
- Highly detailed oriented.
- Ability to work independently
- Must possess excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Salary being offered is $72,800 per annum. The position is eligible for dental, extended health and vision care, life insurance and disability benefits. The required language of work is English.
