Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour
This hands-on role is responsible for receiving and inspecting returned rental equipment, cleaning products, performing basic repairs, preparing outbound orders, assembling hardware and tool kits, verifying inventory, and safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working indoors and outdoors, capable of physical work throughout the day, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect returned rental equipment and materials.
- Verify quantities against Bills of Lading (BOLs).
- Report missing, damaged, or non-conforming items.
- Process equipment returned from customer sites and project transfers.
- Clean rental equipment using pressure washers and other cleaning equipment.
- Remove dirt, mud, grass, glitter, confetti, food and beverage residue, and other debris.
- Inspect cleaned products to ensure company quality standards are met.
- Perform basic maintenance and simple repairs as required.
- Pick, stage, and verify outbound orders.
- Prepare accessories, hardware, and product-specific components.
- Assemble and verify tool kits based on established tool lists.
- Ensure all required equipment is included for customer installations.
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock organization, and general warehouse operations.
- Provide occasional job site support when required.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse or industrial experience.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to accurately count and verify inventory.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation.
- CSA-approved safety footwear.
Preferred:
- WHMIS certification.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Experience using pressure washers or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Cleaning duties involve water and wet working conditions.
- Returned equipment may be muddy, dirty, or contain debris from event sites, including grass, dirt, glitter, confetti, and food and beverage residue.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling are required.
- Waterproof outerwear or a change of clothes is recommended for cleaning assignments.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Occasional early starts, overtime, and weekend work may be required due to the nature of the event industry.
- Flexibility is essential, as customer cancellations or last-minute order additions may require schedule adjustments to meet operational needs.
