Titan Road group of Companies is seeking a motivated and experienced Safety Representative to oversee and support our safety program across multiple divisions, including light-duty towing, heavy-duty towing and recovery, traffic control operations, and an automotive/heavy-duty repair shop.
This position plays a key role in maintaining our strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Alberta occupational health and safety regulations, and supporting employees in working safely every day.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer the company's Health and Safety Program.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections of tow truck operations, traffic control projects, and shop facilities.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety concerns, and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety committee activities.
- Monitor and maintain employee training records and certifications.
- Develop and update safe work practices, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses.
- Conduct new employee safety orientations.
- Coordinate modified work and return-to-work programs when required.
- Maintain WCB documentation and assist with claims management.
- Support supervisors and managers in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
- Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and facilities meet safety requirements.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout all divisions.
Qualifications
- Occupational health and safety experience.
- Experience in transportation, towing, construction, traffic control, fleet operations, or related industries is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience with COR/SECOR programs and audits an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and investigative skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- NCSO designation, Health and Safety Certificate, or related education is considered an asset.
