We are looking for someone practical, energetic, and resourceful to join our team as a Studio Facilities & Production Attendant.
This is not a desk job, and it is definitely not a role where every day looks the same.
One day you may be resetting a studio after a large production. The next, you could be moving furniture between locations, building a backdrop, painting a wall, repairing a chair, installing curtains, setting up a television, or helping prepare a space for an event.
At the heart of this role is one simple goal: keeping Mint Room Toronto and Preto Loft beautiful, functional, safe, and ready for whatever comes next.
Your Schedule
This is a full time hourly position that will typically be scheduled between 30 and 40 hours per week.
The schedule will mainly fall between Monday and Friday, with shifts scheduled during studio operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Some weekend availability will be required based on productions, events, installations, studio changes, and other business needs.
You will work between Mint Room Toronto and Preto Loft, so you must be able to travel reliably between both locations.
What You Will Be DoingFurniture, Sets, and Production Support
- Removing, moving, and returning furniture before and after productions, events, installations, and special bookings.
- Resetting studios and common spaces quickly and accurately.
- Dismantling, moving, and reassembling furniture, backdrops, arches, fixtures, and decor.
- Moving furniture, props, equipment, and larger decor pieces within and between both studios.
- Helping build, modify, install, and move backdrops, temporary walls, and set pieces.
- Installing, removing, or repositioning curtains, mirrors, shelving, artwork, padding, and decor.
- Receiving, unloading, unpacking, assembling, and organizing deliveries and studio materials.
Maintenance and Repairs
- Completing minor repairs and a range of hands on maintenance work across both studios.
- Repairing or reinforcing smaller furniture and studio pieces such as chairs, tables, fixtures, and decor.
- Patching holes, repairing minor wall damage, and completing paint touch ups.
- Painting walls, beams, backdrops, sets, furniture, and other studio elements.
- Tightening, adjusting, repairing, or reinstalling shelving, hardware, and fixtures.
- Identifying damage, wear, maintenance needs, and safety concerns before they become larger issues.
- Keeping tools, hardware, paint, and repair materials organized and ready to use.
Studio and Client Support
- Helping keep both studios clean, organized, polished, and ready for clients.
- Supporting room readiness before bookings and completing resets after use.
- Reviewing production and booking schedules so spaces are prepared on time.
- Providing friendly and responsive support to clients, production teams, vendors, and coworkers.
- Responding to changing studio needs throughout the day.
- Supporting external contractors by preparing spaces, moving items, providing access, and assisting with approved work.
- Taking on other related projects and responsibilities as needed based on the changing needs of the studios and the business.

Experience
Experience in general maintenance, facilities support, furniture assembly, moving, painting, construction support, events, production setup, or another hands on environment would be a strong asset.
The Physical Side of the Role
This is a physically active position, and that is an important part of the job.
Working on your feet for extended periods.
Bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs, and using approved ladders.
Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling furniture, equipment, props, tools, and supplies.
Independently lifting and carrying items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
Moving heavier or awkward items with proper equipment or team support.
Using basic hand tools, approved power tools, carts, dollies, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
Regularly assembling, dismantling, repositioning, and resetting furniture and studio elements.
