Job Overview
Akaal Autohub is a fast-growing independent repair shop in Saskatoon looking for a fully experienced Automotive Technician who can confidently handle diagnostics, engine repairs, transmission/drivetrain work, electrical faults, and major mechanical repairs.
This is not an entry-level, lube tech, or helper position. We are looking for a technician who can diagnose accurately, work independently, and complete jobs right the first time with minimal comebacks.
Responsibilities
At AKAAL AUTOHUB, we focus on real mechanical and diagnostic work, not just maintenance services.
You’ll regularly perform:
- Engine diagnostics and repairs
- Engine replacements & transmission replacements
- Timing chains, timing belts, head gaskets
- Electrical diagnostics and wiring repairs
- Suspension, steering, brake diagnostics
- No-start, stalling, and drivability concerns
- Cooling system, overheating, and coolant leak repairs
- Differential, and transfer case repairs
- A/C and heating system diagnosis
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on automotive technician experience
- Strong diagnostic ability using scan tools and live data
- Experience with engine and transmission replacements
- Ability to diagnose electrical, drivability, and no-start issues
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong Assets
- Journeyman certification
- Electrical diagnostics
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Own tools
- Light-duty diesel repair experience is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
