Auto Body Prepper/Painter
As a Body Shop Collision Painter/Prepper, you will be responsible for automotive paint preparation and painting, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
Duties include but are not limited to:
● Prepare vehicles for a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and
priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces.
● Inspect vehicles to identify imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair
or attention.
● Using appropriate tools and paint sprayer equipment to perform necessary
repairs and adjustments.
● Utilizing paint tools and techniques for a paint job such as a spray gun, paint
thinner, epoxy primer, clear coat, new paint, heavy paints, remove paint and old
paint, entire vehicle, etc.
● Using a process for vehicle primer, block sand, body filler, filler material,
sandpaper grit, masking tape, etc.
● Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to
ensure a seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
● Assist with other duties in the body shop as needed.
● Comfortable with waterborne , polyurethane paints and clearcoats
● Previous experience in paint/prep work required
● Experience with buffing would be an asset but not required
This job would be full time Monday to Friday with competitive wages in a small friendly family
